Sterfry is Sterling Scott.
Saxophonist, violinist, and producer. Electronic music and jazz artist from Nashville, Tennessee. Two worlds, one voice.
Background
Sterfry — born Sterling Scott — is a Nashville-based multi-instrumentalist, producer, and composer whose work sits at the intersection of bass music and jazz. He plays saxophone and violin, produces in the studio, and has built a career over more than a decade through consistent output — monthly releases on SoundCloud across years, EPs on Jadu Dala, Darker Than Wax, Good Society, and Radio Juicy, all while refusing to stay in one lane.
As a founding artist on Jadu Dala, one of the underground EDM scene's most respected labels, Sterfry helped shape the label's identity from the start. His electronic work earned him millions of streams and the attention of Diplo, Tipper, and Josh Pan — with the Sterfry × Josh Pan collab Winter becoming a standout moment in his catalog. His tracks were also featured multiple times on Noisia Radio (now Vision Radio), the weekly broadcast run by Dutch drum & bass legends Noisia — one of the most respected curatorial platforms in electronic music.
On the jazz side, Sterfry operates with equal intentionality. His 2022 jazz album, released through Good Society Records, received Spotify editorial support. Press has compared his sound to Hiatus Kaiyote without vocals: harmony-rich, instrumentally sophisticated, and fully alive.
A forthcoming jazz album on Radio Juicy is next — continuing his commitment to both worlds, on his own terms, without compromise.
